Monthly Birthday and Anniversary Celebration!

 

Sixteen residents were honored this month with a

birthday or anniversary here at Tarrytowne Estates. 

Those that attended received a special meal of steak and shrimp!

 

Stoney Stone enjoyed the food and friendship.

All the participants received a place of honor in the dining room.

Sarah Tamper came prepared to show everyone that she had an April birthday.

Jim and Jerryann Barrackman celebrated a April anniversary.

Read Along with The Village School

We enjoy having the children come from the Village School 

to read to our residents twice a month. 

 

Mildred Brim listened to a story about planet Earth.

Ruth Nestor helped this young reader tackle a story about mammals.

Barbara Gates helped these young ladies with a book about weather.

Avon Mooney, a new resident to Tarrytowne Estates,

enjoyed seeing the young children.

Spring Fling Party

 

 

    The weather was cool outside, so we moved our party indoors!

 The residents helped celebrate spring in Texas with food, fun and games.....

Let's do the twist - Jean White and Harry Corn were cutting the rug!

Toss the Ball Contest - Tip Jackson did very well, he showed up some of the ladies.

Laura surprised everyone with a new contest called - Jello Dive.

There were 7 tokens hidden, the jello was really cold!

Residents had the opportunity to find a token in the bottom of a large container of jello.

Those brave enough to stick in their arm, won a prize.

Jerryann Barrackman was one of the first brave souls to try the new contest.

We concluded our Spring Fling Event with a Crazy Hat Contest!

Tarrytowne Estates celebrated their resident volunteers!

Hill Country to see our Texas treasures.

 

 

                Eleanore and Margaret enjoy a joke at the Star of Republic Museum at the             Washington-on-the-Brazos Park, the birthplace of Texas.

 

 

          After the museum visit, we enjoyed lunch at "Must Be Heaven" in Brenham, Texas

The Legends Show

Residents enjoyed a musical event performed by Stacy and Gina Cooper of the Legends Show.  They sang a variety of songs and encouraged resident participation.  A great time was had by all!
