Welcome Autumn Social with The Ivory Touch

Steve and Diana Warner of The Ivory Touch entertained the residents.

Diana is a trained pianist in classical music and played a

selection of movie themes for the residents.

Make Me Over Event

Linda and Beverly, our Avon representatives sponsored the

"Make Me Over Event" with the Vogue International School of Beauty. 

The students came and did complete make-overs -

hair, nails and make-up on some of the ladies at Tarrytowne Estates.

Jeanine enjoyed being pampered. 

Mary Lou liked he new make-up and her new look!

 

 

Jerry and Pam stated that they felt "Like new ladies!". 

 They went around and showed off their new looks!

 

Jerry loved getting new nails done.

Margaret enjoyed the time, she relaxed and let the students take over.



How Do You Balance Up? with Legacy Therapy Services

Joy is measured by Yolanda of Legacy Therapy Services. 

They tested core strength and balance abilities. 

Read Along with The Village School

Every Tuesday the residents are blessed with the presence

of the kindergarteners from The Village School. 

They come and read stories to the residents. 

It is wonderful to see the progress that they make during the school year.

Charades and Floats at a Friday Social

 

The residents have started a new tradition at Tarrytowne Estates. 

 They enjoy playing charades at a Friday Social, once a month.

Darlene is trying to act out a quote.

 

Bill is acting out a song title.

Nelda entertained the group with a movie title.

Jeanine acted out a quote. 

We had so much fun watching her because

 she had so much trouble keeping quiet. 

Laura had to keep telling her not to talk. 

 We love her dearly, but she can talk up a storm!

Houston Zoo

 

 We had a great trip to the Houston Zoo!

Jeanine was monkeying around!

And so was Margaret!
