Dinner Out with the Manages - Tan's Hunan

We tried something new this month with our Dinner Outing - Chinese!
The food was great and the fellowship was even better.

Joe kept the residents entertained and
helped the waitresses keep the orders straight.

The happy group is waiting on the egg rolls.

Bill ordered Pork Egg Foo Young and was
surprised when the plate came out, he had enough to feed 4 people!

Each plate was adorned with a beautiful potato flower, dyed in various colors.

Matsiko World Orphan Choir Performs

The residents of Tarrytowne Estates were treated to
a wonderful performance by the Matsiko World Orphan Choir.
We were just one of their stops on a 27 state concert tour.
The children were mainly from Peru and Libya.

They sang and danced for 45 minutes.

The residents loved them!

After the performance, the residents had the opportunity to
purchase items made by individuals from the choir's countries.

Happy Father's Day from Tarrytowne Estates

Karl Liechen couldn't wait to eat the cigar.

James O'Connor was thrilled with his gift.

Richard Lutz was going to savor his with a cup of coffee.

Special Day - Wear Your Shorts!

To beat the heat in Texas, Tarrytowne Estates decided to
dismiss the rules of no shorts in the Dining Room.
Residents were surprised and happy....

Chuck asked us, "What do you think of my legs?"

Sten asked if the rule would be dismissed for the entire summer!

Joe was thrilled that he was finally able to show off his legs.

Barbara stopped by on her way out to show us her shorts.

Watermelon Social

Scotty was getting ready for the watermelon seed spitting contest!

Jerry was hoping the watermelon would refresh her from the Texas heat.

Fred enjoyed the sweet watermelon by the pool.

Ellen showed off the wonderful color, hoping it would be just as good.

Jim and Jerryann stopped by for a slice.

Jackie couldn't wait until she tried her watermelon.
It was hot outside, but the watermelon was refreshing.

Bill was laughing at some of the jokes Laura,
our Activity Director was telling the group.

Joy and Mitzie were wondering in the pool was ready for a dip!

George was thinking about the contest, but thought better of it.
He wasn't sure if he could spit farther than 4 feet!

Margaret and Jean were talking about the contest.
They decided to be cheerleaders instead of being the one that spits!

B-I-N-G-O

Ellen, Mary Lou and Donna are sorting through
bingo cards looking for a winner!

Dorothy and Nell were showing their numbers
to the bingo caller, so that she would call the correct numbers.

Josephine, Ruth and Leola are hoping that the bingo caller is good to them!

Evelyn is all smiles, she had the winning card for the cover-all game.
